Dr. Mahesh Punjabi, MBBS, MS(Ophth)

After completion his MS from SMS Medical College, Jaipur. He along with his wife Dr. Sandhya Mahesh started 1st Eye Hospital in Hadoti Region – Kota Eye Hospital and Research Foundation. Dr. MaheshPunjabi is an institution in himself who has managed to make his dream “Bringing The Best To The Most in Need” a reality through his 34 years of rigorous and selfless service to the rural masses of hadoti region. Dr. Mahesh Punjabi is better described as a VISIONARY for restoration of vision.
His efforts have helped drastically reduce the prevalence of blindness, not only in Kota but also around five neighbouring districts of hadoti.Dr. Mahesh Punjabi is pioneer in Phacoemulsification and microsurgery in state of Rajasthan. He was awarded Gold medal on 21st August 2005 by Intra Ocular Implant and Refractive Society, Chennai for making phaco technique of cataract operation popular in the state of Rajasthan. Dr. Punjabi has traveled all over the world to attend international conferences i.e. America, China, Germany, Australia, Switzerland, Singapore, Abu Dhabi etc. He has also presented a number of papers at various national and international conferences.
Dr. Mahesh Punjabi was Hon. General Secretary of Rajasthan Ophthalmological Society for last three years and is involved presently in various activities of ROS. He is president of Kota Division Ophthalmological Society. He is member of various institutions. i.e. American Academy of Ophthalmology, All India Ophthalmological Society and Indian Intra Ocular and Refractive Society. Now his new venture moves towards the help of Diabetic Community of Hadoti region as now he patronises, Hadoti Diabetic Care Foundation.
Dr. Sandhya Mahesh MBBS, MS

She along with her husband Dr. Mahesh Punjabi started Kota Eye Hospital in 1987. she is a director and an accomplished phaco surgeon at Kota Eye Hospital. She has an experience of 34 years. Dr. Sandhya Mahesh is an expert in surgical management of squint correction. She pioneered eye Donation campaign for the treatment of corneal blindness and the screening of school children for defective vision.
She is the only practicing ophthalmologist for mono focal, multi focal, Torric and coloured contact lenses.She has also traveled widely in India and abroad and attended many national and international conferences.She is secratary of Kota Eye Hospital Research Centre and Society,a charitable organization fighting with blindness in the rural areas of Hadoti.
Dr. Mona Darra, MBBS, MS (Ophth), Phaco Fellowship from Sahai Hospital, Jaipur

Passed her MS from Govt. Medical College Kota. She is a Phaco anterior Segment surgeon and working as consultant eye surgeon in Kota Eye Hospital since 2009. she is involved in the activities of Kota Eye Research Centre Society, Kota. She attended many eye camps in villages and rural area of hadoti region and treated and operated good number of patients of rural Kota. Dr. Mona Darra has performed around 2000 surgeries till now.
Dr. Mrinmayee Ghatak – MBBS, DO and Fellowship from Shankra Netralaya, Chennai

Dr. Mrinmayee Ghatak is the new generation ophthalmic surgeon at Kota Eye Hospital. She has specialized training in squint and occuloplasty.
Dr. J.P Gupta – MBBS, RNT Medical College, Udaipur

Dr. J.P Gupta is our anesthestist with 43 years of work experience.He has worked as a medical officer in MBS Hospital,Kota. Doing private practice and working as anesthestist.He is also attached to various nursing homes of Kota.
