- M.S. in 1980 from S.M.S. Medical College, Jaipur (Rajasthan University)

EXPERIENCE
- Four years (1979-1983) worked in Sahai Hospital & Research Centre, Jaipur.
- 2 years (1984-1985) as a consultant, Deptt. of Ophthalmology at Central Hospital, Ghariyan, Libya.
- 1987 (onwards) established own Hospital (presently 35 bedded) in the name of KOTA EYE HOSPITAL & RESEARCH FOUNDATION at Kota and practicing as Senior Eye Consultant.
- Travelled all over the World to attend international conference i.e. America, Europe(Amsturdom) Australia, Singapore, Germany, Abu Dhabi, Switzerland etc.
- Pioneer in Phacoemulsification and Microsurgery in state of Rajasthan and the first trainer to the young eye surgeons for Hands on Phaco Surgery in Rajasthan.
- Demonstrated Live Surgery by Phaco Technique in “Phacoemulsification Workshop“ sponsored by Alcon at Sahai Hospital, Jaipur in July 2000.
- In 2003 Lions Club International’s SightFirst Hospital at Nairobi, Kenya (East Africa) invited Dr. Punjabi and his wife Dr. Sandhya Mahesh Punjabi to impart Phaco Training to their local Eye Surgeons. They operated 200+ cases by Phacoemulsification in 10 days period from 5th May 2003 to 17th May 2003.
- Involved in teaching work of Diploma in Ophthalmic Techniques Course since 1989.
- Presented papers in various State Level Conference, DOS Conference, ROS Conference etc.
- Involved in Eye Donation & Corneal Transplant Work started in Kota city only by Dr. Mahesh Punjabi & Dr. Sandhya Mahesh Punjabi and till now have procured 100 pairs of Eyeballs through donation with the help of Local NGOs i.e. Rotary Club and Lions Club etc.
